Karl Doron is a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSB and a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Complexity and Collective Computation.

Karl received his Ph.D. from the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara under the supervision of Michael Gazzaniga (UCSB), Scott Grafton (UCSB), Barry Giesbrecht (UCSB) and Mari Riess-Jones (Ohio State).

Karl's research combines data from cognitive experiments with a variety of neuroimaging modalities (fMRI/MEG/DTI) with the aim of understanding the neuroscientific underpinnings of the mind, with specific focus on neural oscillatory processes and attention.

His current work merges graph theoretical, information theoretical, and complex systems approaches in an effort to describe the large-scale functional
connectivity of brain networks.
